KNIT PATTERN - Kraken Beanie - PDF Pattern Only

DESCRIPTION: The Kraken, in Greek Mythology, is a sea monster of tremendous size and strength. ... It was born from the titans Oceanus and Ceto, both entities of the sea. It supposedly lived in the depths of the sea off the coasts of Norway and Iceland. Legends hold that no ship could stand up to the Kraken. The creature could easily sink ships by wrapping its many arms around them. The ship’s crew would either drown or be eaten by the monster.

I have incorporated twists and smaller staghorn stitches in the pattern. I also added purl and knits stitches to give this beanie some texture!!

Skill Level: Intermediate

Knowledge of Stitches: Basic knit and purls, in the round.

US 9 / 5.5mm 16” circular needle

Bulky:
US 10 / 6mm 16” circular needle
US 11 / 8mm 16” circular needle

Super Bulky:
US 11/ 8mm 16” circular needle
US 13 / 9mm circular needle
